These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Lake Ontario Trading Co. website and purchases made through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Lake Ontario Trading Co. (“Lake Ontario Trading Co.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this store using Shopify. You can contact us through our contact page.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You must have legal capacity to enter into a purchase contract in your jurisdiction. You may not use the site for an unlawful or fraudulent purpose, interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that impairs service, or violate another person’s rights.
Products and product information
We aim to describe and photograph products accurately. Screen settings, lighting, and natural production variation can affect how colours and details appear. Measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise. Product descriptions, prices, and availability may change without notice before an order is accepted.
Prices, taxes, and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars unless the site or checkout clearly states another currency. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, discounts, duties, and the order total are shown at checkout before you submit the order. Payment is processed through the payment methods offered at checkout.
Orders
Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline it, including because of a pricing or product error, payment authorization failure, suspected fraud, purchase-limit breach, or inability to fulfill the order. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the cancelled amount to the original payment method. An automated order acknowledgement does not prevent us from correcting an obvious error before dispatch.
Shipping, returns, and refunds
Our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy form part of these Terms. Review them before ordering. Title and risk of loss transfer as provided by applicable law and the selected delivery arrangement.
Promotions and bundles
Promotions may have stated eligibility dates, product requirements, order minimums, and combination rules. Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts have no cash value. Products sold as a bundle must be returned as a complete bundle under our Refund Policy.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including brand names, logos, graphics, product artwork, photographs, copy, and code, are owned by or licensed to Lake Ontario Trading Co. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the site for personal shopping. No other licence is granted.
Third-party services and links
The store relies on Shopify and may link to services operated by others. Third parties may apply their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party sites we do not control.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lake Ontario Trading Co. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from site use or a purchase. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited only to the extent the law permits.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a warranty, condition, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under applicable consumer protection law.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Lake Ontario Trading Co. for third-party claims and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful misuse of the site or material breach of these Terms.
Changes, severability, and waiver
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not alter an order already accepted unless the law permits and you agree. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
Governing law
These Terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without depriving you of mandatory rights available under the law of your home jurisdiction.
